The doctors at SAGE in Redwood City have been literal life savers for 2 of our animals. There’s not enough praise I could give them for the peace of mind we have received time and time again.
We live in SF so it’s a bit of a drive for a vet. But we needed their specialists in a couple fields which they have. We will be going back with all animals anytime they need the best in neurology or oncology.

My cat (8 years old) came in after not eating for 36 hours. I was referred by my primary veterinarian who was able to call the doctor and let them know the situation. The facility is large and clean and well-staffed. They did an ultrasound and found that he had a flare up of pancreatitis and had him hospitalized. I was very sad about this, but the doctor was very compassionate and stayed on the phone and answered all my questions regarding his condition. The next morning, they called me and let me know he was feeling better. He was discharged that evening and I have a follow-up ultrasound with them. I am so grateful for Sage and all the work the doctors do. Thank you so so much.
Wow. I cannot thank Sage enough! I was unsure if I needed to bring in our 5 year old Labrador for a laceration on his foot. The team suggested I email picture of his foot. After viewing the picture - they thought it would be best if I brought him in for stitches. The team walked me through every step of the process and made sure I understood the estimate before he went into surgery. Not only was the actual price of their services less than the estimate - they remained in contact the entire time my boy was in their care. Considering we have six working cattle ranch dogs - we are no strangers to the ER. We we will continue to bring all of our current and future pets to Sage. 10/10. Thanks again!
Sage pet hospital is incredible. Beautiful, clean, inviting, comfortable place with nice compassionate staff and very professional doctors. They took care of my cat twice during Covid when I had to stay in my car. This time I was able to come inside 👍 unfortunately my cat was too sick for help this time. 24 hour emergency vet care that comes at a costly price. My cat (insured with Banfield) needed emergency vet care after ingesting a plant. It took no more than 30 minutes for him to get seen and receive treatment and for that I am very thankful but it did come to a total of $627 which I believe the average person would have a hard time paying.
Excellent Service. Vet explained the situation very well and took appropriate steps to remedy my dog's issue. Received a follow up call next day....even my own doctor does not do that! But all comes at a price. This service was provided as an Emergency service because my regular vet was booked. As such I would expect a bit higher fee but I estimate it was more than double what I would otherwise pay.
I had a really good experience with SAGE Center. My cat fell off the balcony and was bleeding and limping. From the moment I got there I was surrounded with support and calm atmosphere while waiting for my pet to be examined by the doctor. It did take a while (about 4 hours, it was a night time) so it was really nice of them having coffee, tea and some snack bars in the waiting area. Alternatively I could wait in the car at the parking lot. All the staff members were very attentive and ready to help. Finally I bursted out crying when he was returned safe and sound. The pic is of my cat right after getting back home. He is still limping a bit but I am glad to know he was checked by the doctor and it’s nothing serious. And I am glad he has an insurance to cover the costs 😅
